I am new to checking my sugar, and my doctor gave me the OneTouch Verio monitor. The price of 100 strips is $50 bucks on Amazon. I had no idea they were that expensive. I know insurance will cover some part of that if he sends a prescription in, however I like to plan for contingencies. Is there a monitor/strip product that is available almost everywhere, is fairly inexpensive, and has good reviews. Any help would be appreciated.
