In hospital with 2nd T1 diagnosis in 6 months.

Seems crazy to me. No autoimmune history in our families, no diabetes history, nothing. Our second daughter was diagnosed with T1 less than 6 months after our first daughters diagnosis. Funny thing is I have an unused TrialNet test in the car that I was going to do this week. Anyone else have no family history like this? Seems funny to me. With first one we caught it when she went DKA, and started breathing weird. Second one was caught last night when my husband decided to do a random finger prick while she was sleeping. She had started to pee the bed all the time, drink water.... the usual symptoms. Her random blood test at midnight was 422. 6 times in a row over 400. Just because he couldn't believe it. And into the car we went, at midnight, because I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep anyways if we waited till morning. The crazy thing is we almost caught it too early. No Lantus yet, and she only needed 1 unit total of humalog. It is going to be an interesting couple weeks figuring this out.
