Advice on eating out often?

I am three days into a two week business trip where I am living in a hotel for the entire trip. I have a small fridge and a microwave but no other ways to store or prepare food. I try to stick to a low carb diet as much as possible so I bought mixed nuts, raw veggies, some steamable veggies I can heat up in the microwave and simple sandwich ingredients. My problem so far though has been the eating out.

While I'd prefer to make all my own food this trip, my work pays for me to eat out and I'm probably going to do that at least once per day. What recommendations do you all have for finding low carb meals at restaurants? I know salads and chicken without starches and grilled fish are good but do you all have any other ideas? I ask for/look up nutrition facts when I can but a lot of these places are family owned or not major chains with standard menus.

I consider myself pretty good at estimating carbs after 19 years of doing it but restaurants seem to hide extra carbs in seemingly low carb foods all the time. I had spikes up to 300 after eating a burger (with half the bun removed) one night and a tomato soup with salad the next. I can't handle doing that every night of this trip.
