A couple of days ago, I posted how I was recently found out to have my blood sugar readings around 17 at one point and my fasting reading at 10, thanks in part to my concerned GF who checked me after seeing the same signs she has when she's high.
So late Sunday, after testing 17 again, I went to the hospital with my GF to go see what's up. 6 hours later, the doctor there told me that based on my blood sugar counts alone, I am officially a Type 2 Diabetic. I was given the prescription for 500mg of Metformin and a meter with strips.
The only thing still not known yet is my current A1C, which our hospital doesn't check. I had blood drawn yesterday in a separate appointment as requested by my doctor, so I hope to see what my A1C turns out to be soon.
So yeah...
