Dexcom Follow on Android question, if my phone ringer is on vibrate, will I still get audio alerts?

I'm trying to figure out if the audio from the alerts is tied to the ringer volume or the media/app volume of the phone. I tend to leave my phone on vibrate at all times so it would be better if it was tied to the media/app volume. That would allow me to adjust it during the day/night without affecting my ringer.

EDIT: I called tech support, according to them it's not based on ringer volume. So I can have my phone on vibrate and still hear the alerts if my media/app volume is up and I have a sound selected for the alert. Of course I won't really know until I get an alert, I might have to try forcing a no signal one at home tonight just to check.
