I had my follow up appointment today. It is less than 6 weeks adter my diagnosis and I was worried. My A1C went from 12.4 to 10.2. I know it has a long way to go, bur considering it was over 400 a month ago I am thrilled. He is decreasing my medication because my numbers are so low. He would take me off it completely if not for my A1C. He said he was planning on putting me on insulin and expecting my numbers to be over 300. Nope. They were all under 120, with a few hypos. He thinks I will be off the meds soon and maybe not have issues. He said he saw this once a couple of years ago, but that is it. He said usually he has to keep increasing meds. I am reeling!
