Just got my CGM today; when should I trust its readings?

Like the title says, I got my CGM today. It feels fine, but I find that it's hard for me to trust it. Not to mention that I had some weird readings going on just by using my meter (had one hand saying I was 50pts above the other, tested multiple times getting wildly different readings, even after washings my hands and everything). My CGM hasn't been too far off most of the time, but I'd like to ask people with more experience with CGMs: when do you find that it's okay to accept the readings at face value? How long did it take you to trust that the readings were accurate, or how long do you feel it takes for the CGM to start giving you accurate readings?

Hopefully this post makes sense! I'm excited by my new cgm, but I guess I'm still wary.
