Doctor said my fasting blood glucose was slightly elevated. A year ago my fasting blood glucose was 94. This time, it can back as 104.
Lately I have been trying to gain weight through eating a lot of proteins and fats especially peanut butter(not in ketosis) while going through Starting Strength.
I asked him to run a follow up a1c which can back a1c 5.2. My doctor said not to worry about the fasting blood glucose, and just to make sure i continue to eat right and only induldge occasionally.
What should I take away from these results? Should I try to eat less carbs? Could it just be stress related from work? I know the FPG signals prediabetes but my a1c does not. a1c is also the average, more data points, etc...
Any info or enlightenment would really help me.
