I'm a T1 diabetic who recently switched to insurance from the open marketplace. Looking up the price for my medications online through the provider, it looks like a 90 day supply of Humalog Kwikpens is going to be about $1200. I live in Texas, and could make it a day trip down to Mexico. Ideally I don't want to have to switch up my medications. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with buying their insulin across the border. Looking online I see various different types of insulin, but I haven't seen the Humalog Kwikpens yet. Does anybody know if those are available? I'm also on Latus as well, so if anybody knows if that's available in Mexico as well, that would be helpful. I'd most likely be crossing over at Nuevo Laredo or Acuna depending on which direction I head. Thanks.
