This may be kind of gross so I truly apologize.
A four year old student of mine is currently trying to be potty trained. He is fairly successful with urination, as I'm very on top of this, but struggles with BMs. He's a type 1 diabetic, and I wonder if anyone has any advice for me, and his family!
His mom is very much struggling to get him potty trained.
His BMs come out in a difficult consistency where he needs to squat in order to get it out of him, but even then it sticks in between his cheeks and doesn't actually fall out. I believe this to be a strong reason why he refuses to go on the potty as it is a struggle for him to do so.
I know this is probably far from what is usually posted on here, and getting any answers is probably long shot, but we're willing to try anything!! I am going to recommend mom try a squatty potty, but I wonder if anyone else has experienced this in their, or maybe their childs diet?? If there's any vitamins or even diet changes that helped? What is it about the diet that helped?
Absolutely any information would be so greatly appreciated, by me, and mostly his whole family!!!!
