So I have finally gotten a pretty good grasp of carb counting and have a reasonable idea of my insulin to carb ratio. I have been averaging 90-100 mg/dL and am pushing to get it into the 70-85 range.
I decided to play with the timing of when I take my insulin before messing with amounts. I am finding that if I wait for around 20-30 minutes to eat after taking my bolus I am at or around my original glucose level an hour after eating.
Is waiting that long risky with Humolog?
