Need help losing weight as a T1

So I've been T1 for 14 years, but the past few years I've gained a lot of weight. When I was first diagnosed as a kid I was never really on a strict diet but played a lot of sports. Then college came and now living on my own. I know I could eat better and work out more , but what has worked best for diabetics? Sometimes I hate working out because my blood sugar always drops. I try using a temporary basal but having a lot of issues figuring out the percentage. Then when I drops I need to chug juice and get all of those calories again. I'm also trying to cut carbs, but I just love them so much. Any advice?
