So I just called in for a supply re-order and was told that they have a "backorder" for sensors and reservoirs. No idea when the backorder will get resolved and they are unable to give an estimate.
Genuinely starting to feel pretty fed up with the 670g. I guess my expectations were pretty high, but it doesn't feel like a significant upgrade over the 630 and it beeps all the fucking time and never fails to wake me up during a good night's sleep no matter when I calibrated the previous night. Not to mention that I got suckered into buying the 630g because of the pathways upgrade program.
On top of this Medtronic is making probably tens of millions of dollars by becoming an insulin pump monopoly. Now granted, I have insurance, thank God, so I'm not being fleeced for what's left of my pancreas, but I can't even help feeling bad for the insurance companies who had to shell out thousands of dollars for this slight upgrade, if it's even that. It's like buying an iPhone 7 over a 6 for hundreds of dollars -- what is the point? My A1C on the 630 was 6.7%, my most recent on the 670 was 7.1%.
But hey at least the company cares about us enough to to take our money.
