Spot the difference!

I have GD and even before getting pregnant was teetering on the edge (H1BAC of 5.4). My colleague has had T1 for over 30 years, but I'm new here so only found out recently. He calls me the "part time diabetic".

This morning I did my usual routine - walked around the block a few times and up the stairs, where I carefully replaced yesterday's needle in my tester with a new one, washed my hands with soap and then without, tested for the first time out of 7 tests today, took a second test to be sure, and logged it neatly in my book.

Sat down and saw my colleague pull out a really old tester, nonchalantly jab himself, look at it, roll his eyes, stick in some insulin and carry on without even turning a hair. I had to laugh at myself after that!

What (light hearted!) differences have you noticed about your/other's diabetes management as time goes on?
