Hey all.
My A1C was 6.0 and my fasting today was 110. I'm only 29 so I'm taking this very seriously. No family history, I'm 6'0" and about 200 lbs. I had my BMI professionally done and it was 27% about a year ago. I work out around 3 times a week, don't drink soda or eat a ton of carbs, but the caveat is that I do drink alcohol. A lot. Mostly bourbon (straight). I think that is whats possibly killing my numbers so I'm quitting today. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations or additional advice. Could alcohol be my significant factor? Nobody in my family is diabetic. I'm thinking of going keto and increasing to working out to 5-6 days a week.
