Can the dawn phenomenon be "adapted" or "trained"?

From what I understand, the dawn phenomenon consists of a combination of temporarily increased insulin resistance in the morning and increased glucose secretion from the liver. The apparent purpose of it is to give your body some more glucose in the morning to get you going.

This makes me wonder if the body is able to adapt the dawn phenomenon according to past situations. For example, what if the body notices that you work out every morning before breakfast and therefore evidently need more energy then? Perhaps this would intensify the dawn phenomenon.

And on the other side, what if regular breakfast teaches the body to expect exogenous glucose every morning, and therefore learns that the liver secretions aren't as needed? Would the dawn phenomenon then be reduced?
