A1C from 12% to 5.4%

First time posting. I was diagnosed with Type 2 January of 2017 at 30. My A1C was 12%. It was shocking, even though I shouldn’t have been surprised with how I was living. I decided to not take medication first and to really try and change my lifestyle. I began going to the gym and transitioning into a plant based diet and closely monitoring my blood sugar. Jump forward to now. I finally have health insurance again and can afford to see a doctor. I’m now 35lbs away from my goal weight. I get a full blood panel. Everything came back perfect. My A1C was 5.4.

I just wanted to share this as I am so proud of my hard work over the past two years.

Thanks for reading.
