Hi I'm new to this Reddit!
Here is some background, Super active kid, played soccer rode my bike for hours, started getting sick at age 12, fatigued beyond belief, dizzy, puke my guts up when haven't eaten, parents thought it was teenager pains.
Continue all this pain to this day, (20's) after 5 years of many many blood tests, doctor decides to do a GTT. ( I fainted at the end after leaving, nurse took me into her room) Comes back as diabetes, I asked my doctor what type and she is unsure? I'm told my fasting glucose is high which she is unsure about, I've been put on Metformin and it has taken the life out of me, my ass has become a waterfall. All this is new to me and I feel frustrated :( is it normal for Metformin to do this? Is it common for doctors to be unsure which type? Sorry for any bother if this type of post isn't allowed!
