I ordered one of these to the US in August. Takes around 4 weeks to ship and pass customs and all that. No big deal. I enjoyed the device it worked well with spike on iPhone and my Fitbit watch. Unfortunately, it only worked for a few weeks. It would not charge or scan at all anymore. The reset button through the pin hole did nothing. It was dead. This is where the “fun” started.
I email customer service. They seem to respond once every 3 weeks to any inquiry. I read online that Facebook messenger is the better route to take. They finally start responding on Facebook. You have to pay to send the device to a random flat in London ($30 - $50). Then you have the option of a refund or wait another 4 weeks for a new device. I opt for the refund since it has taken a few months to get to this point and I’m irritated.
I get delivery confirmation after individual took over a week to pick it up after failed delivery attempts. I ask about status of refund on fb messenger. I never get another response from this point forward.
So I raise the issue with paypal and basically say they aren’t honoring their warranty. Paypal rules in my favor and refunds the purchase as fraud. All said this entire ordeal lasted 6 months.
All in all the device was a nice way to get affordable CGM out of the libre. But just hope you get a device that never fails since customer service is abysmal . So buyer beware.
Also, note that the new 14 day US sensor does not work with Miao Miao and spike. So it’s a bad deal in the states if the supply of 10 day sensors dry up.
