Like the question says, should I choose a PPO or an HMO? I don't currently have a primary care physician, but I do have an endo that I've been going to since 2011 or 2012. I'm not sure if she's in network for the HMO, but let's assume she is. The major difference I see if my endo is in network, is that with the HMO, I pay 20% of all blood work, and with the PPO, I have 0 out of pocket. Let's assume I have labs done quarterly. The difference in premiums is $47.65 with the PPO being more expensive.
If my endo is out of network, the decision is easy, I go with the PPO.
