What do you want from your educator?

Hi all! I do not have diabetes myself - I am a nurse with about 12 years experience and have recently started my first gig as a diabetes educator. Don’t have my CDE designation yet, but am working on it as a condition of my employment (and because I want to)! I am wondering - what have been the most helpful things your educators have done for you? Least helpful? Should or should not do? I see T1, T2 and GDM, but mostly T2 with double digits A1C in my rural area. I’m in Canada, commuting distance to a major city with endos but most of my patients rely on our clinic and their GP. Thanks!
