A bad head cold causes blood glucose to shoot up.

T2 here. Just coming off of my first major head cold since my diagnosis. One thing my doctor never told me was blood glucose can really climb during sickness.

I was seeing numbers about 30% higher than normal, regardless of fasting or post meal.

The internet says it's because of hormones released to fight infection(?);
