It really frustrates me how my doctor is still recommending me a diet high in carbs and whole grains as they’re absorbed “slowly” in our bloodstream so they’re allegedly “good” for diabetics. This is the 3rd time I’m changing doctors. Honestly what’s it with doctors STILL recommending high carb diets for diabetics? I really hoped healthcare had improved by now. But it seems like they’re still following the low-fat guidelines from 1970... :/
