In order to meet my insurance co’s criteria for a Dexcom, my endo asked me to record 6ish months of blood sugar readings 4x a day, carbs consumed at every meal incl snacks, insulin dosage, and a couple other pieces of info.
I checked my bg about 2x a day on average but only stored the info on my meter and didn’t record any of the other data. The night before my endo appt (the one in which she was to review my log and pledge to my insurance co that she had vetted me as a compliant diabetic), I created an elaborate xlsx spreadsheet and random number generator to impute bg readings and carbs consumed (within specified ranges) and then calculate the amount of insulin that I should have taken. I’m on a sliding scale, so that added some complexity.
Been using the g5 for 2yrs now.
