Hello friends, first time posting hope this is alright.
My mum is 70, she has fibromyalgia and is waiting on rotator cuff surgery.
She had her usual blood tests and today received a call from the doctor saying she's got high levels of glucose in her blood and to stay away from potatoes and bread. The doc said it's a "warning" so have tagged this prediabetes but as I am no expect on this I've come to see if anyone here can shed some light.
Her mobility is poor at the moment due to the injury in her shoulder and in the last year (since her accident) she's been not so active. Could this have contributed?
I make her meals and would like any recommendations of food to stay away from or to include. What else can I do, to help her, to cook etc, to stop this from progressing further? I would really appreciate literally any advice. I'm looking through this Reddit for advice on my own but thought best to write out the situation.
Thank you if you've read this far. X
