Just another Medtronic 670/Guardian CGM vent

On my honeymoon in New Zealand then Australia this whole month, so grateful for the many posts here regarding supply quantity and transportation tips (Frio insulin coolers have been amazing in the campervan). I brought six guardian sensors, the three extra should cover the inevitable shit no problem right? So I’ve gone through three just since yesterday, not from extra sweat or blood on insertion or initial calibration out of range or whatever other typical problems. It’s the stupid cycle of needing constant readings for auto mode, followed by TWO failed calibrations forcing onto a new sensor. It has been a fucking nightmare the last two days. I’m running out of strips early because of the extra calibration tests needed with BG fluctuations from extra exercise and irregular diet. I’m down to my last sensor and I don’t even want to try it because I get sick to my stomach looking at the same pump messages and wondering if I’ll have to book an early flight home because Medtronic rushes garbage sensors past the FDA. I pop on this sub now that I have WiFi and find that I now have to be extra careful with the reservoir retainer ring because it’s garbage too. I can theoretically budget if I need to buy more sensors or god forbid insulin at retail. Can I even buy sensors over the counter? And in NZ/Australia? Likewise for Contour Next strips. I hate to ask, fellow diabetics, but would someone in the Christchurch or Sydney areas have an extra guardian sensor and/or strips I could buy? Thanks for taking the time to read, I plan to give Medtronic an ear full when I’m back in the US, but for now emotional support would be so appreciated.
