My Struggle To Get A Pump

So I am a young teen and I have been diagnosed with type one for almost 3 years now. I've been on pens and can't seem to control anything properly. My diabetes team won't let me get a pump because of that reason and because they think that I want a pump because I think that I won't have to do any work. I don't think that. It's just really frustrating when I go to camp and even the kids who have only been diabetic for a year have a pump and I don't. I just feel left out. I don't like how I have to work for something that will help me. It's the most advanced thing out there, my family can afford it, why can't I have it? Any advice out there?
