Concerned about going to the pharmacy

Hi all, I’m new to the diabetic reddit community but have been T1 for 17 years (I’m 29 years old) with moderate control, last A1C was 7.2.

I live in Los Angeles, in a pretty populated area and I’m really scared/anxious about going to the pharmacy to pick up my prescriptions due to COVID-19. I’ve looked everywhere on the internet for answers, most recommend staying far away from the pharmacy/having prescriptions delivered. I have been working from home and social distancing for 4 weeks now. I’m being super vigilant and I haven’t left the house at all, I’ve had all groceries and other necessities delivered.

Unfortunately, when I asked my pharmacy about delivery they said because Insulin is an item that has to be refrigerated they cannot deliver it.

I am not completely out of supplies, but want to make sure I have enough Humalog and Freestyle Libre censors just to be safe. I have one Humalog insulin pen that I’m using and I am wearing my last censor with 11 days remaining. I use Tresiba for my long acting insulin which I have 2 pens left, and I cannot refill for another month.

I have surgical masks and disposable gloves that I could wear into the pharmacy but for some reason I am just SO scared. I don’t know if I should wait til I’m completely out of things and try to get all my prescriptions at once? I don’t know if I should try to talk to the pharmacy or fill the prescriptions with someone who will deliver (if that’s even possible)... now that the prescriptions are filled will I even be able to get them anywhere else?

Sorry for the long-winded ness, I’m just looking for some advice, or even reassurance from my fellow diabetics on how you’re handling all of this (because I’m clearly freaking out — as if that wasn’t obvious haha)

Anything you all can suggest is much appreciated. I hope you’re all staying safe and healthy during this crazy time!
