I don't like my new dietitian, am I being unreasonable?

Super long post... So sorry about that!

So basically, I now have a new doctor and a new dietitian. All my life I've hated all my doctors and my dietitians, as nothing they did or said made sense or felt like they understood what's going on except for my last health providers over a year ago, but for some kind of circumstances I am now with new ones.

For the record I'm 25 and was diagnosed with type 1 in 2003. Anyways, because of this coronavirus, everybody is doing consultation over the phone, so 3 weeks ago I received a phone call from my new dietitian, I don't know what it is exactly but I felt like he's wasting my time from the beginning.

As soon as he spoke to me, he didn't ask me anything about myself... He right away asked "What meds are you on?" I answered, then he asked about my BG readings and I told him. He didn't ask what meter I was using. Then he asked me what I ate, I told him, then immediately he suggested I add more veggies and protein to my diet. Okay sure, I'll add more, then he suggested I increase two units to my before lunch dose, since before lunch my blood sugar is high so I said ok and he said he'll follow up the following week.

My before lunch readings went down, however I want to say that because of work my readings are always between 10-12 before lunch. Always... No matter what they're always like this (except on weekends). So when he phoned again, I told him this, but he didn't really comment on it then he asked me if I exercised and I said yes, (which I thought was a question he's supposed to ask on the first phone call) then he said okay let's increase your afternoon to another two units. I said okay, let's see if this is gonna do anything. And to my surprise my readings got higher... All my afternoon readings became much much higher... I was super confused... And I'm still confused.

So then with the final phone call, I told him my readings again... And he did not have an answer to anything, it's like he's never seen a case like mine before. Then he was all like "Maybe while you work out your sugar goes down, so you know what happens is that your liver starts making glucose so your blood sugar goes up" Like??? Really??? I understand if I was diagnosed a year ago, you'd try and explain this shit to me but not to someone who's been sick for 15 years??? Anyways, so then he says "Have you heard of freestyle libre?" so I'm just like "I am on the freestyle libre" and he's like "the one that shows readings throughout the day??" and I'm like "Yeah" so then he was like send me the pdf of your readings and let's increase your insulin another two units in the morning and the phone call ended.

This is honestly dumb... Does he even know I'm type 1? I don't know how to explain it to you guys, but I just feel annoyed and hopeless... I have the same issues for as long as I remember and I've accepted they're part of of who I am... My readings will not always be 5.1 before a meal or consistent... I even included more veggies and protein but everything is still the same lol. Sometimes my reading can be 10.0 and I hope in the shower and they go up to 14.0. Like this isn't a problem with insulin, this is just being a type 1 diabetic.

Idk if I'm being super harsh on this guy, but this is how I feel. Like am I being stupid here? I'm willing to receive any feedback from you guys, even if it means I'm in the wrong.
