rather provide g6 receiver and not phone

Hi all.

It has come to my understanding that clarity is needed for the endo to be able to analyze #s from the dexcom g6. I will download clarity on my phone, however, I do not want to give my phone to the endo when I go for appts so they can download the data. I much rather just hand over the receiver for the endo to download the data. I will only be using & carrying my phone to use dexcom, not receiver.

1. Will the receiver be able to receive the data even though I am not carrying it?
2. Does clarity and the receiver sync automatically? If not how can I do this?
