Sick of news saying "only diabetics and people with BHP die" regarding COVID19

Hello, first time poster. English is not my first language so bear with me please. I decided to come here for... Support I guess? I am currently F,34, diagnosed since age 17 with type 2 diabetes. I live in Mexico. Lately I had been doing well in my A1C, but I aside from using insulin, I take HBP medicine and metformin. Since shit hit the fan in the American continent like a month ago, all I read is "don't worry, you only got a high risk of dying if you're diabetic or have HBP" Well SHIT. I feel like all the efforts I made to be healthy don't matter because article after article I read, tries to reassure those healthy that they're going to be fine and only us riddled with these conditions are in danger and pretty much a dead man waking. I've been very anxious and depressed due to this. I seriously always had issues accepting being a diabetic and this is only adding to it. I feel like shit. Like: what is the point anymore? Should I just give up already? Am I going to be a stupid statistic? It's very disheartening. How are the rest of you dealing with this? It's taking a very heavy toll on me and all I want to do is cry since I feel like I am just waiting for death to get to me.
