As a pharmacist, I get a lot of questions about generic drugs including diabetes meds.
"Which is better between the generic and the brand name?” “I don’t want the generic. I want something effective” “Why are brand name drugs more expensive?” "Are the side effects the same?"
These are all legitimate questions to have when having to choose between the generic or brand name version of a drug (for diabetes and other conditions)!
