First Attempt at re-starting G6 Sensor Failed.

So, after viewing a few you-tube videos on the matter, I tried to take the transmitter out with a credit card. That didn't work, so I tried the used blood strip method. It was fairly easy to remove and I used the sensor code on my Tandem pump. 45 minutes went by and then alarms, whistles, people chasing me down the street....the whole shebang. Is there a better way to re-start the sensors with Tandem? Perhaps, do not enter the 4-digit code and calibrate it twice to get it going? Did I do something wrong? Is it even worth trying anymore....
