My husband (type 2) was just put on insulin. A slow acting one that he takes once a day before bed. He feels absolutely horrible on it. Starting within 15 minutes of taking it he is getting panicky and agitated to the point where he is either pacing back and forth or if he’s sitting he is rocking back and forth. It takes him at least 3 hours to fall asleep and when he finally sleeps it’s fitful sleep and he keeps waking up. And the next day he’s extremely irritable.
Is this going to get better? And is this normal? He is completely not himself and I’m really worried about him. He hasn’t been able to talk to the doctor because he keeps missing his call. The doctor just leaves a voicemail that says to keep taking it.
