Hey folks i am a type 1 Diabetic for 14 years i am now age 21 years old,
I have always had mediocre control when it comes to my diabetes but like i have always tried to keep a good control over it but sometimes its difficult my recent HB1AC was 49 mmol/mol which is indeed a lot better then 6 months ago when it was 64 mmol/mol this i because i am on a more up to date insulin called tresiba,
Anyway so December 2019 i was told after my Diabetic eye screening i have some changes in the back of my left eye and at the time i thought well 14 years of diabetes what can i expect? so thought nothing of it really, so basically it is very early stage of Background Retinopathy
Now it's September 2020 and i am getting loads of floaters that are making me depressed and anxious about my vision, they have just came out of no where and making me really upset, i am not too sure what to do, they have just come on this month and i have never had floaters in my life and it's just such a surprise to my vision kinda impaired by the annoying floaters
I have an optician appointment on 2 weeks should i just wait until then or go and call a doc? these floaters make me just wanna sleep all day and stay in my dark room so they won't be as noticeable, man i am upset
P.S my job consists me to look at a monitor 10 hours a day could this be a problem?
any comments would be highly appreciated, i will be replying too all because i am spending my Saturday in my dark room being sad :(
