Just wanted to share this win with people that will appreciate it. After 3 years since my diagnosis, and 2 years on a T-Slim X2, I am FINALLY getting Dexcom. My endo has been trying to get me on it this entire time and I can't tell you how many times I fought with my insurance company through my old job to try and get it through prescription benefits versus durable medical to try and make it affordable. Well I started a new job 2 months ago and my new benefits are INCREDIBLE. It's still not covered under prescription benefits, but with a considerably lower deductible and a higher percentage covered for durable medical, I am getting Dexcom for $138 for a 3 month supply. This will be life changing for managing this disease, I cannot wait to get my A1C down. Crying happy tears. 😠also, I met my deductible in 15 days. Thanks, diabetes.
