MODY

Is there a specific sub for MODY or anyone out there that has it? At this point, my doctor is so absolutely convinced that I have it that he thinks that I don’t need a genetic test because “it won’t make a difference in treatment.” I’m going forward with it anyways bc I want an actual, solid diagnosis for the first time in my life. I’m just a little overwhelmed by going through this in the middle of a fucking pandemic of all things. Especially since I was hospitalized for hyperglycemia as a child and they ran a million tests for T1D and told me I def wasn’t diabetic. We redid the tests again, and they once again showed I wasn’t T1 or T2. This was like the one thing I thought was narrowed out, but jokes on me I guess. There’s a whole other type I didn’t know existed. I would love to commiserate with someone else about this because I’m seriously overwhelmed.
