I was diagnosed (T1) few months back and I since it's recommended to eat well and healthy (2 warm meals a day, snacks, good breakfast, etc...) my food expenses have doubled from around 25€/week to at least 50€/week because I simply have to eat more these days, and since I'm unemplyed until June, I don't really have any money left over. Has anyone else gotten this issue?
And another question: My country does give 90€ disability benefit to some diabetics but I don't know if I can get that. It would certainly help a ton... I could buy food for nearly two weeks with that. If this subreddit has any finnish diabetics, could you tell me if I can get it even though I don't have any extra complications?
