I've never partaken in such an idiotic conversation. My cousin is arguing with me on Facebook that not all type 1s need insulin and that "in BC, they're trying to phase out the terms type 1 and type 2 diabetes into insulin-dependent and non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus because not all type 1s need insulin and vice versa." ...what? Where are you getting your information from? Oh because she just finished her first year of nursing education. That's scary.
Apparently she had 3 diabetic friends in high school: 1 who "was very dependent constantly," 1 who "was alright" (whatever that means) and 1 who "never had to rely on it, he was really good with his diets etc."
