Just a little thank you

In New Zealand it is very hard to get a pump. CGM's are a no-go even if you have private health insurance. We are expected to get by on MDI and a small number of finger sticks a day (these are funded at least).

About a year ago u/pumpandabump offered a box of sensors here on Reddit, and I bit the bullet to self fund a Dexcom G4 with xDrip/xBridge.

Along with a very low carb diet, and meticulous care, my CGM has enabled me to be able to get my T1 in control. My last HbA1c was 32 (5.1).

A chronic disease is not easy as it is, but the cost and difficulty getting devices and medicines in this world, makes it much more tough than it needs to be. Thank you for your kindness u/pumpandabump. Your gesture has put me on a path to better health and a longer, happier life.
