Hey guys, a little about me, I was diagnosed with Type 2 last June with an A1C of 13 and my doctor put me on a 2000mg dose of Metformin.
Since then I've educated myself on the disease, changed my diet (I could still do better, but I do my best to stay under 100g of carb per day), drastically upped my exercise level (gym 5-6 days a week) and I've since lost 30 pounds.
So my question is, what now? I had my A1C checked again in April and it was 5.2. Should I have my metformin dosage lowered? I'm living in Nunavut right now so it is incredibly hard to see a doctor. My family doctor is back in Nova Scotia so I'll have the opportunity to see him at the beginning of July. This summer would be the best chance to see a doctor.
Also, as an aside, sometimes after I'm done working out my blood sugar drops into the low range (below 4), should this be cause for worry?
Thanks for the help in advance!
