Dexcom G5 transmitter battery life ending early using xDrip+? (Third transmitter in a row ending at 20 days)

Posting to see if anyone else has had any trouble with their G5 transmitters dying.

about 60 days ago, I switched from using xDrip to xDrip+ in anticipation of the newer transmitters needing the xDrip+.

22 days later my new transmitter died. 22 days later my OTHER transmitter died. Both of those transmitters were ordered via Edgepark. Both of those transmitters were replaced under warranty through Dexcom.

My new trouble is that a THIRD transmitter is about to die (day 19) I suspect on day 22 also. Catch is, this transmitter was shipped out by Dexcom, not Edgepark.

Is there ANY way it's xDrip+ or my phone (LG G5) dragging the transmitter battery? Or is it just some crazy coincidence that all three only got 22 days out of them?

I plan to call Dexcom about this transmitter once it's all the way dead, but I am growing concerned that they're going to start asking more questions. I'm afraid they're not going to want to replace if they find out I'm not using the receiver or iPhone.
