Was diagnosed a week after my 18th birthday (yay! :| )
So, i was always a football/soccer enthusiast. Before diabetes i used to play it like almost every week. Ever since i got diagnosed i have been playing less and less because because whenever i play my levels drop down real bad. Here's a background about my condition : I have no family history of T1 diabetes, it just happened to me out of nowhere, on average i take 2 units of Humalog before meals and 2 units of Lantus per day, as my diabetes is only in the beginning stage, so i don't have to take much.
However back to the point, last time i played soccer i had two bueno bars before playing, and a really sweet juice during the match plus a couple of candies, after 90 mins of playing, when i returned home by glucose levels was 80 mg/dl.
I am afraid to play now or do any extensive exercise for that matter, please help me out on how to control this. Thanks.
