Literally the only one I can think of is Turk from Scrubs. He developed Type 2 in one of the seasons. Anyone have any others? It's a baseline of awful and then Turk, to my recollection. There's Stacy from Babysitters Club, but that is terribly dated at this point.
What would make a good portrayal? Diabetes is really quite boring most of the time, so that incorporating it well by the rules of fiction (i.e if it's important enough to mention, then something has to go wrong with it) would be difficult. Scrubs could do it realistically because it was a long-running series.
