My brother and I are both type II. We started out taking oral meds as treatment but have both progressed to insulin dependent. He keep's calling himself a type I now. Does being dependent on insulin dictate type class? As I understand it as a type II in our case our bodies produce insulin but we've built up resistance to it and need additional insulin. Any links to articles that explain this better? I'd love to settle this argument even if I'm wrong, thanks!
