MiniUpdate to my T2 story.

So update to this post here.

I just got my supplies today from the gold old Dept. Of Veterans Affairs. Got my accucheck Aviva strips, lancets, softclix device, control solution, statin, and aspirin. However my doc forgot to order the actual meter! Waiting on that now.

I tried it the softclix each setting starting at 0.5 and when i Set it at a 3 I was getting some blood if I really massage it out. Pain was a small poke sting. Nowhere near like at the VA. He used a non-adjustable lancet. Looked like a small square with a button on top.

I'm kind of lost on this. Don't know if I should go deeper or what, I could get about a drop at a 3-3.5 but each click is a little more pain. Admittedly I'm kind of a puss about needles and pain. Took me ten minutes to actually press the trigger.

Small victory, weighed in at 261 this morning from 288 on May 10th. Thanks to loosely Keto! It's really a lifestyle change now. I just avoid carbys things like bread, soda, pasta, sugar. It's hard, but is becoming second nature.

Thoughts on the lancet depth and the statin?

TL;DR: got supplies. Everything but the actual meter. Pricking sucks and I hate it. Can get about a single drop after working it. Too scared to go deeper. Lost weight.
