Annual physical this past Thursday lead to a fasting blood sugar of 125mg/l (not sure of units). This was in the upper levels of Pre-Diabetes. never had anything higher than 98 or so, from previous tests.
On a followup for the physical, the doctor seeing the FBS, ordered an AC1 that came back 7.3.
Between the blood draw and the followup for the FBS reading, I had a weekend high in sugary goodness. I understand that AC1 is a timeline of your blood sugar, but would a weekend leading to the blood draw have elevated numbers?
Since both the borderline FBS and AC1 are new values, would a second opinion be in place? I do concede I am living unhealthy and likely am pre-diabetic, but I want to see if these numbers are real or a random spike.
