So I have a Dexcom G5 and naturally was interested in the t slim x2 as it would someday support the G5, and the potential for the closed loop system through an update. I reached out to t slim for info as well as Omnipod. I have all of my insurance info to t slim and Omnipod at the same time to compare prices. Of course I know upfront costs are less for omnipod.
T slim asked my availability to speak to them and before t slim had the ability to text me back Omnipod had already gave me pricing info, sent the letter of medical necessity and my doctor approved it. Needless to say, omnipod is less expensive and more responsive so they have received my business. Hope it was the right choice.
