First I want to say I was diagnosed about a month ago, and the advice y'all gave on my first post on this sub really helped and meant a lot! Now, my friends and I are planning to throw a party this weekend, and I want to be able to drink with them. I know I obviously can't get wasted, but I tried to gameplan a good way to drink safely:
My plan is to only have liquor and diet soda, that way I don't need to worry about correcting for beer or anything like that. Im only gonna drink for like 3 hours, so I was thinking 1-2 drinks each hour would make sense. I'll check my BG every hour or less, and eat before I drink and after I drink, then eat even more if I need to. I'll try to sleep around 180-200.
I do have a couple questions though..
-Should I take less of my Lantus (long acting insulin) the night I plan on drinking?
-Any other general tips I should know of?
