You know you're a diabetic when...

I found out I was a T1 back in January at age 28.

It's been a crazy roller coaster ride since then...from realizing just how much I had become a zombie over the past year, to getting over the shock of needles and insane health costs, and starting down the geeky path of tracking my bg through Raspberry Pis and Nightscout...

...But despite it all, there was one thing that happened last week which showed me I had truly come to terms with this disease...and it happened while I was asleep.

...I bolused before eating a fantastic 'dream meal.'
